MindVoice — Everything you need to know
MindVoice is a voice-based brain dump app. Tap to record your thoughts anytime — grocery lists, work tasks, ideas, reminders — and MindVoice transcribes, categorizes, and summarizes them for you. Think of it as a second brain for everything you'd otherwise forget.
No. MindVoice uses your device identity for authentication — no email, no password, no account creation. Just install and start recording.
MindVoice automatically sorts your notes into: Shopping, Work, Health, Personal, Ideas, Reminders, and Other. Categories are assigned automatically — you don't need to tag anything manually.

Due to iOS limitations, widgets cannot access the microphone directly. The widget opens the app to start recording — it's still just one tap.
It depends on your tier:
Yes — the free tier transcribes entirely on your device with no internet required. Premium cloud transcription requires an internet connection.
On-device transcription (WhisperKit) supports many languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and more. Cloud transcription supports an even wider range. The app interface is currently English only.
There is no hard time limit for recordings. However, MindVoice is designed for quick brain dumps (a few seconds to a couple of minutes). Very long recordings may take longer to transcribe. The file size limit for cloud transcription is 25 MB.
At the end of the day (or whenever you tap "Generate Summary"), MindVoice reviews all your entries and creates a concise summary grouped by category. On the free tier, this uses Apple Intelligence or a simple grouping. Premium users get Claude AI-powered summaries that are more natural and insightful.

Yes — every user gets a 7-day free trial of Premium with full access to all features. No credit card required. If you don't subscribe, you'll keep using the free tier with no limitations on core features.
Open your device's Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → find MindVoice → Cancel Subscription. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Refunds are handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) through their respective refund processes. We do not process payments directly.
MindVoice requires iOS 26 or later. It runs on all iPhones that support iOS 26. Apple Intelligence features (on-device AI categorization) require an iPhone 15 Pro or later.
Voice recording is the core feature of the app. Without microphone access, MindVoice cannot capture your voice notes. The app only records when you explicitly tap the record button.
MindVoice uses background audio mode to continue recording if you switch to another app briefly. It does not record continuously in the background — only when you've actively started a recording session.
Audio files are stored as compressed WAV files. A typical 30-second recording is about 500 KB. Transcriptions and summaries use minimal storage. The WhisperKit model (for on-device transcription) requires approximately 50-100 MB on first download.
Data export is planned for a future update. Currently, transcriptions are automatically copied to your clipboard after recording, so you can paste them anywhere.
Auto-categorization is best-effort. On devices with Apple Intelligence, categorization is more accurate. The keyword-based fallback on older devices relies on matching specific words. Premium cloud categorization using Claude AI provides the highest accuracy.
